In order to provide relaxation of the student's minds after the extensive academic toil, the school provides a variety of options in sports, entertainment, social and spiritual aspects of life.

At St. Theresa Girls Secondary School, every student must subscribe to at least 2 clubs of her choice according toher abilities. Clubs carry out different activities which transform the society. St. Theresa Girl’s Secondary School offers students extracurricular and co-curricular activities through the club program. The goals of the club program are to foster students’ exploration of their areas of interest and to build social and leadership skills. In light of the school’s philosophy, we focus on teaching students how to use their gifts and talents to serve others.

Under the guidance of club patrons, students can choose from more than 50 different clubs, and they also have the opportunity to create a new club if there is interest. Students are encouraged to participate in at least one activity each year. At the conclusion of each academic year, outstanding club members are recognized by the club boards. The clubs in the school are listed below.

Have you ever wanted to play an instrument, dance, sing, or act? Do you have a burning ambition to perform? All this has been achieved by students at St. Theresa Girls Secondary School. We believe that every child deserves a chance to shine. We aim for high standards in our performing arts but what our children gain from taking part is far more valuable. Through music, dance and drama they experience teamwork, a sense of achievement and an immense joy and freedom of being given the opportunity to express themselves.

St. Theresa Girls Secondary School is a power house in the area of Music, Dance and Drama within Kalungu District and Greater Masaka Region as a whole. Performance is a celebration of what St. Theresa students are: confident, courageous, talented, funny and most of all, joyful. The school boost of a school band that performs at various functions, a school choir that animates our masses, a drama club that stages plays and performances around Masaka.

St. Theresa Girls Secondary School  recognizes the importance of a well-rounded education. All students are encouraged to participate in wide range of sporting and other co-curricular or “extra-curricular” activities. These take place daily after regular school learning hours and over the weekends. These include but are not limited to:

  1. Sports (Soccer,  Athletics, Volleyball, Chess, Netball, etc)
  2. Clubs/House activities
  3. Aerobics Classes for fitness

School events include an inter-house MDD competitions, Sports Day, Junior Achievers exhibitions, termly Guidance and Counseling afternoons, and Leavers’ Parties for candidate classes. The activities provide enjoyment and allow students to relax and socialize. To help develop budding sports, the school has a football pitch, netball and volleyball court.
