In order to
realize a successful and continuous academic growth, the school is well
equipped. We are among the top schools in UCE and UACE in the district.
The school is
built around the core of Religion. Every Tuesday and Sundays, students attend adoration and mass. They also have daily evening prayers, recite the rosary, catechism classes, etc
The school has
a number of structures that have been developed to foster effective teaching
and learning in the curriculum for our girls to fit in the modern society.
With a wide
range of academic and co-curricular activities, we foster a holistic
development in Knowledge, Talent and Skills for the girl child to prosper in today’s
world.
Students have continued to be skilled in a number of subjects as per the New Lower Secondary Curriculum today.
Besides the theoretical aspects of the classroom environment our learners are exposed to practical learning in all subjects.
STREGS built the leader in me. It’s from this school right from S1, that I was given an opportunity to speak freely in the debates and felt a complete woman I am today. Currently am the Chairperson of Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE)
Today I can firmly say that by the Grace of God, my professional life has been a successful one. I am a mother and an International civil servant, working with United Nations. Without the values and attributes the school instilled in us – putting God first, working hard (I still wake up at 5 am); aiming for excellence and above all, caring for our fellow human beings.
I was privileged to have attended school in St Theresa Girl’s Secondary School Bwanda. It is in this school that I started my journey of leadership. I learnt to challenge my self as a lady after realizing that, I could achieve as much as the gentlemen. This was based on the fact that, as girls we were able to achieve, multitask and exceptionally deliver on many tasks.
